More Ways to Give

Thank you for your generous support of Minnesota Adult & Teen Challenge. Below are many of the ways that you can be part of the miracles happening here.

Stock And Securities

Gifts of stocks, bonds, mutual funds or other appreciated assets are a strategic way to support MnTC while securing tax benefits to maximize your support. By donating these assets to MnTC, you can avoid capital gain taxes that would be required if you sold them.

For more information or assistance with a stock gift, please contact:
Steph Williams

Donor-Advised Funds

A Donor-Advised Fund allows you to make charitable contributions, receive an immediate tax benefit, and then recommend distributions from the fund over time.

For more information or assistance with a gift, please contact:

IRA Distributions

If you’re 70-1/2 or older, you can donate up to $100,000 per tax year directly from an Individual Retirement Account (IRA) to MN Adult & Teen Challenge. A qualified charitable distribution (QCD) is a distribution from an IRA directly to an eligible charity, bypassing the owner of the account so he’s not taxed on it. QCDs count toward your required minimum distribution for the year. If you’d like to make a QCD gift, your financial institution should make the check out to “MN Adult & Teen Challenge” and identify you as the donor by name and address.

Planned Gifts Or Endowment Fund

You will create a lasting legacy by including MnTC in your estate planning. Your example of legacy giving not only provides a firm foundation of support, but also makes a significant statement of your dedication and values. Please visit our Planned Gifts page for more information on donating gifts of stocks, bonds, 401(k) and other appreciated assets.

Foundation And Grant Giving

Minnesota Adult & Teen Challenge (MnTC) is fortunate to work in partnership with a substantial and growing number of community, corporate, private and family foundations. Foundations provide MnTC with funding for general operating support, program development or project support.

For more information on giving through community, corporate, or family foundations, contact our Director of Foundation and Grants, William Kaul, at 612-238-6422 or e-mail at william.kaul@mntc.org.

Employer Matching Gifts

Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match any charitable contributions made by their employees. Some companies will also match gifts made by retirees and/or employee spouses. Your employer may even provide a financial match to your volunteer hours. Please check this page to see if you can multiply your donation’s impact.

Thrivent Choice Dollars

If you are a Thrivent Financial member, you can donate to MnTC through Thrivent Choice Dollars. All you have to do is choose one of our five Minnesota locations. Search “Minnesota Adult & Teen Challenge” from the Thrivent’s search page.

Donate Via Gifts-in-Kind

We accept goods and services for our clients as well as for our event silent auctions. These items help us save money while providing you with a valuable tax deduction.

We are always in need of new/lightly used clothing, shoes, and accessories for women and men. Many of our clients have little/nothing when they come to us; our blessings closets offer them a place to “shop” (no charge, of course) for clothing, and, in doing so also helps restore a sense of hope, self-worth, and dignity.

Tribute Gifts

Donating to pay tribute to loved ones or special occasions is a popular and admirable way to give. Here are ways you can donate with a tribute gift: www.mntc.org/tribute-gift

  • Memorial Gifts: in memory of the deceased.
  • Honorary Gifts: in honor of a special PERSON, such as a pastor, teacher, spouse.

Event Sponsorships

Sponsor an event through cash, gifts in kind or silent auction donations. Please visit our events page for more information supporting one of our many events throughout the year.
