At Mn Adult and Teen Challenge, we strive to provide excellence in professional, clinical internships that prepare you for employment in the addiction field as an LADC, Co-Occurring Therapist or Mental Health provider, or Nurse Practitioner. MnTC’s commitment to our clients includes our commitment to train and supervise emerging professionals who will one day serve them. We offer multiple training opportunities, at a variety of sites, with a variety of populations.

You will gain understanding and experience while working with clients who suffer from addiction and co-occurring disorders. You will be assigned a seasoned professional who will provide guidance to assist you in developing skills and knowledge needed for your field.
Our clinical internship is intentionally designed to prepare you for real-world practice — not just observation. Interns receive structured onboarding, high-quality supervision, hands-on clinical experience, and meaningful client interaction across multiple levels of care.
As an intern at Mn Adult & Teen Challenge, you will:
- Lead and co-lead clinical groups
- Conduct assessments
- Develop DHS-required competencies
- Receive high-quality, engaged supervision
- Be gradually challenged at an appropriate pace
- Feel prepared to work independently upon completion
- Be supported within a strong values-driven culture

- Co-Occurring or Dual Internship (LADC and one of the following: LICSW/LPCC/LMFT)
- Mental Health Graduate Students (LPCC, LMFT, LICSW)
- Nurse Practitioner (Preceptorship for MH)
- Social Work (Undergrad) Rochester location only
