SaQwonna Culver

LADC

Hello, my name is Qwonna. I was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and I am a wife and mother of three. My family and community are an important part of who I am and how I connect with others.

I am a board-certified Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor who is passionate about helping clients work toward healing, growth, and lasting change. My counseling approach is compassionate, honest, and practical. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy strategies to help clients understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors influence their choices.

I believe understanding addiction is an important part of recovery. I have a strong interest in the neuroscience of addiction, relapse prevention, motivation, and helping clients recognize patterns that may keep them stuck.

My goal is to meet clients where they are, create a safe and judgment-free space, and support them in taking meaningful steps forward. I welcome conversations about faith in recovery when that is important to the client, and I believe accountability can be a powerful part of healing.
As a wife and mother, I understand that recovery has to fit into real life. I focus on helping clients build practical skills they can use every day to support a realistic, meaningful, and sustainable lifestyle of recovery.
