Amanda has been working with Mn Adult & Teen Challenge since 2016. She obtained her Undergraduate Degree in Chemical Dependency from St. Cloud State University in 2015 and her Master’s Degree in Addiction Counseling: Advanced Practice from Hazelden Betty Ford Graduate School of Addiction Studies in 2018. Amanda is also a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor which allows her to address a client’s mental health, alongside their struggles with addiction. Amanda is passionate about helping clients identify their root causes of addiction in order to find true healing and freedom within recovery. She is caring, attentive, understanding and invested in her client’s growth and progress. Amanda is committed to providing a safe-setting and positive experience in group therapy. Amanda uses a person-centered approach, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), DBT skills, mindfulness skills, psychoeducation and spiritually-integrated (as requested by client). Outside of work, Amanda enjoys exercising, reading, crocheting, drinking a good cup of coffee & spending time with her husband, son and Yorkiepoo!
