Planned Giving

Leave a Legacy

Thanks for visiting the Minnesota Teen Challenge stewardship and estate planning site! It is my personal prayer and passion that this be a tangible ministry in your life.

We are told that a staggering 70% of Americans do not have a current will. The ramifications of this for children, surviving spouses, on taxes and fees could be immeasurable.

I think there are many reasons people may be putting this off. Fear of dying, procrastination, confusion about the estate planning process, the cost of creating a will...and more.

We, at Minnesota Teen Challenge, want to provide some "layman friendly" estate planning information that can enable you to protect your family and be a wise steward of what God has entrusted you with.

So browse around, see if this is something that could be of service to you, or if you just want to get down to business, you can click on the Estate Plan Organizer on any page and walk yourself through a tutorial/data gathering process. At the end, you can print it at home or ask for help. All of the information you log in is confidential. The Estate Plan Organizer does not ask for social security numbers or bank account numbers. No one will see your entries unless you submit at the end and ask for help.

Then, and only then, will one of our partners at PhilanthroCorp (a Christ-centered estate planning firm) will be in touch to serve you in any way they can.

So, be blessed and make yourself at home!

President, MN Teen Challenge

Foundations and Grants

Minnesota Teen Challenge continually looks for ways to expand our base of support in order to reach as many teens and adults as possible with the truth that there is hope for both freedom from addiction and restored lives. Our annual income comes from both private and public sources including donations by individuals, corporations, foundations, churches, and civic groups. We work hard to let people know we exist, and give them the opportunity to contribute.

One of the ways we identify potential partners and financial supporters is through corporate and foundation grants. Minnesota Teen Challenge is fortunate to work in partnership with a large and growing number of corporate, private and family foundations as well as corporate giving programs. With more than 1,300 foundations and corporate giving programs in the state, Minnesota Teen Challenge has a wide variety of sources in which to seek grants.

For more information on giving through corporate and foundation grants, contact Minnesota Teen Challenge’s Corporate and Foundations Grants Manager, Mary Kay Bensen at 612-238-6174 or e-mail her at marykay.bensen@mntc.org.

Donate Your Vehicle

Vehicle donations are tax-deductible and proceeds benefit the programs of MnTC, to help teenagers and adults with life-controlling chemical addictions.

  • We will pick up your vehicle free of charge anywhere in the Minneapolis/ St. Paul Metro area, and provide a receipt for your tax-deductible donation.
  • Once MnTC has received your signed vehicle title and completed donation agreement form (see instructions below), we will arrange for your vehicle to be towed.
  • As licensed dealers, we will either send your vehicle to an auto auction or a salvage yard, based on its condition. If your vehicle goes to the auto auction:per federal guidelines, you can only claim the amount that your vehicle sells for and we will do our best to sell your vehicle for the highest amount we can.
  • Once the vehicle sells, Teen Challenge will issue you a receipt for your tax deduction purposes.
  • Most vehicles are accepted, whether they are running or not. However, if your vehicle is "purged," meaning it has not been registered with the state of Minnesota for 5 years, we cannot accept it.

If you would like to donate your vehicle to MnTC, we only need two things from you and we'll do the rest:

  1. Your signed title. (Please fill out the front left portion of the title only, without entering the date of sale. Please do not fill out anything on the back of the title and do not detach the bottom portion of the title or send it in to the state, because in most cases we will not be the final owner.) Please do not scribble out or cross off any mistakes on the title, because you will most likely need to fill out an Application for Corrected Title if you do this.

Please Note: If you have any liens or loans listed on the title, we must receive the lien card from you or letter of release from the holding party.
You must sign your title with your name as it appears on the title. If you have changed your name, please send us a copy of the name change certificate.
  2. A completed donation agreement form. (Click on "donation agreement" to download) Once you complete this form, you can mail us (or drop off) the signed title and donation agreement form. Please fill out and mail us both pages of the Donation Agreement Form.

If you have further questions about this, please call Jessica Beaudry at 612-238-6509 or email her at jessica.beaudry@mntc.org.
