Information on a Typical Church Visit

All residents of our long term faith based rehabilitation center serve as members of our choir

Ministry: We typically request 35- 45 minutes of "ministry time" during the service to share songs and testimonies, however we are always willing to work with your church's requirements.

Offering: We also ask for the opportunity to take a separate love offering during the service for MnTC. As a ministry we do not desire to take away from what is typically received on a Sunday service. However, the offering we take is also one of the main ways that we are able to keep MnTC open. After years of working with churches we have found that the best way to do this is for the church to take their regular offering toward the beginning of the service, so they still receive their normal giving. Then, toward the end of our portion of the service, take a love offering for those people who would like to help support MnTC. However, if your church has any problems or concerns in regards to this offering, we will gladly work with you to make any necessary changes.

Fellowship Meal: Frequently, churches that we visit will offer a meal to the clients after the service(s).  This is in no way a requirement, but can be used as a means for your congregation to further interact with our clients.  Many congregants say this is their favorite part as they can then have time to have one-on-one conversations with the clients and get to know them a bit!  Also, for churches with services that end later in the morning, it can serve as a huge blessing to our clients so they don’t have a long wait in between meals.

Technical: Our technical needs include: 2 microphones, 1-2 monitors, 1 Sound person (who can also be there early for our sound check- we also have a client available to help with the sound), we like to arrive 45 minutes before the 1st service to run through a quick sound check, 1 six-foot table in the main lobby (for a display board/brochures). If your church does not have the above-mentioned sound equipment, we are able to bring our own equipment with prior notice.

* All of our background music is on CD, so we will need either a CD player in your sound system, or an open channel into your system.

Group Size: The group size will depend on the size of each church, however due to the tremendous growth that our ministry has experienced, the minimum number of residents that we are able to send is 40, along with 3-5 staff members. If your church is unable to accommodate this many individuals, please let us know so that we can discuss other possibilities.
