Licensed Care Drug Treatment Program
The Minnesota Teen Challenge Licensed Program is a Rule 31 Substance Abuse Residential Treatment Program for Teens ages sixteen and over. Length of stay is based on client need. A typical stay ranges from 30-90 days. Adolescents attend treatment services in the morning with a Minneapolis Alternative Public High School providing classes on-site in the afternoon.
Inpatient Residential Care
Programming is provided in a structured therapeutic community offering continuous observation, monitoring and treatment by professional multidisciplinary staff.
- Strong cognitive behavioral approach to help clients identify and replace life-diminishing core beliefs
- 12 Step education and application in regards to Alcohol Or Drug (AOD) problems and as a life development model
- Motivational enhancement to help clients strengthen their motivation for change
- Treatment groups are adolescent specific
Included in programming is life-skills training on relationships, communication, anger management, and creative problem solving. We work with giftedness testing and education/career planning. We provide ongoing monitoring of mental health and chemical health issues, and case management for next step planning.
