Bequests/Wills
Gifts-by-will are one of the simplest types of planned gifts and may be changed at any time. Charitable gifts-by-will reduce estate taxes, while providing a larger gift than many individuals are able to make during their lifetime.
Gifts may be designated as unrestricted so they can be used where they are most needed. MnTC staff can assist you if you wish to designate your gift toward a specific area of interest or memorialize a loved one.
The following model language may be helpful to you and your attorney in drafting your bequest to Minnesota Teen Challenge.
I hereby give and devise to MN Teen Challenge, a Minnesota non-profit corporation, the sum of $______ or _________ (a description of property), or _____% of the residue of my estate, or the rest, residue and remainder of my estate, to be used for its general, unrestricted purposes.
